This thesis discusses how to realize an analyzing system of ride comfort based on the virtual instrument technology. The computer-based analyzing system is developed by graphic programming language LabVIEW, including four modules, i.e. data acquiring module, data preprocessing module, signal analyzing in the time and frequency domain module and ride-comfort calculation module. The system has such functions as data acquiring, data saving and data analyzing, whose interface is good and easy to use.A PCL818 plug-in DAQ board of EVOC Company is selected in the data acquiring module of the system. The board is cheap, but it doesni&provide the driver for LabVIEW so that it can not directly be used in LabVIEW. To solve this problem, many efforts are focused on developing a driver supporting LabVIEW for this board. During the development of the driver, CIN node method is used to convert the functions of the board into icons that can be called by LabVIEW directly, consequently a data acquiring module is realized.The function of the data preprocessing module is to distinguish and process abnormal data from sampled data. The signal analyzing module is used to analyze the preprocessed data in the time and frequency domain. The ride-comfort calculation module is the key one of the system and realizes calculating sperling value, comfort values in three directions and the integrated comfort value. Sperling value calculation adopts GB5595-85 standard, Comfort value calculation uses ISO2631 and UIC513 standards. Due to different weight methods, mixed method and digital method are used to calculate comfort values. The weight filter is realized by the interface between LabVIEW and Matlab during the calculation of comfort values.The analyzing system is tested by experimental data from Shanghai Maglev train, including transverse, longitudinal and vertical acceleration under different uniform motions. The sperling value, integrated comfort value and comfort values in three directions are calculated and compared with the analyzing report of Shanghai Maglev train, which proves the reliability of the sytem.
