Study On The Data Acquisition And Control System For LPG Engine

Data acquisition and control system for LPG engine designed and developed by author is presented in this paper, whose research mainly includes the design of software and hardware for electronic control unit, and the design of software for monitoring system. In this system, the monitoring software has such features as friendly interface between the user and the system, simplified operation, powerful functions. It can carry on data acquisition online and save the operation variables of engine and the parameters of ECU, and can display graphically the saving data offline etc, and introduces database management technique into engine test rig. The ECU is composed of fewer hardware, so it is a cheap but highly performance device. It can updates conveniently with redundancy design, and has strong capability to withstand the electromagnetic interference for the using of the anti-interference technique in design. This paper also explicates the air fuel control strategy, and analyses the implement of closed loop control based on PI control and signal outputted from exhaust gas oxygen sensor, and make the design of the software for controller. Based on model EC2500C engine, which previously is a gasoline engine and has been adapted to LPG single-fuel successfully, the exprimental results showed that control method researched in this paper can realize air fuel control for LPG engine, and can achieve a good performance under steady condition. The system's successful application showed that it can improve the efficiency in data acquisition, and can be bring some help in the development and study on LPG engine.
