Pressure pipeline is a widely used construction form in water project. Ferroconcrete circle form is the main pressure pipelines type mostly adopted in built power stations from 1970's to 1980's in our country. During long running process, there are many factors such as design faults, bad materials, manufacturing deficiencies, improper constructions, environment factors, function changed, load increase, material aging, damage and so on which lead to all kinds of problems containing deficiency, crack, lack of strength and structure destroyed .In most conditions , reinforce is not the only but the most effective way and the best choice .For the usual reinforce way isn't convenient to practice, FRP is considered as a better choice . At present, the technique for FRP reinforce is a bright star in the buildings' reinforcement and reform fields all over the world but seldom used in water project. The papers about it are even less. This paper is to focused on the capability of pressure pipeline reinforced with FRP. It is based on the adopted model experiment. The model concludes two different ways, one is the internal water pressure model test, the other is upright land pressure model test. In theory, the paper introduces the destroy principles and the conglutination principles of FRP. At the same time, with the current criterion principle model, we can figure out the internal strength expression and pipeline reinforce design formulas. Two different FRP are adopted in practice-CFRP and GFRP, the different FRP in the process of the reinforce are compared with and Its influence factor is analyzed. It provide the effective theory and technique supports for practical projects.
