The highway transportation is a nationally public foundation facility which provides some service for our society, and represents the modernization level of the whole social development and the actually national economy strength. Because of the indetermination of the road load and pavement environment, and the complexity of design parameters in the pavement structures, they make a big problem between those really cement concrete pavements and their designs. Therefore, how to improve farther the current methods and evaluate the performance of current cement concrete pavement reasonably are a hot point which is concerned and studied by many transportation engineers and researchers at home and aboard. Based on a lot of related domestic and international study fruit, and the actual condition of cement concrete pavements in our country, the dissertation has analyzed systematically those problem mentioned above. Its main points and conclusions are explained as follows:(1) Introduce briefly the fundamental theory of structure reliability, and put forward a new method of pavement reliability by comparing roads with general structures.(2) Study systematically the affected factors of pavement reliability and suggest three levels (such as high, median and low) for classifying the variation of road design parameters by combining a great deal of domestic and international research surveys.(3) Establish the design model of cement concrete pavement structure on the theory of Fuzzy-Probability, and discuss farther the variability of various design parameters in the method.(4) Analyze the main factors which affected the durability of cement concrete pavement, and establish the verification method for the durability of pavement through introducing two design parameters such as the dynamic reliability index and the durability design coefficient, which correspond to the design method of current cement concrete pavement structure.(5) Establish a model of artificial nerve net for evaluating the reliability of current cement concrete pavement through studying its features, definition and fundamental theory, and verify the validity of the model by applying the model to assess some actual pavement examples.As is discussed above, the research conclusions and models in the thesis not only perfect father the design theory of pavement structure , but also have some technically instructional guidance for the highway engineering construction as well as its practice.
