Peripheral-feed peripheral-overflow secondary clarifiers were great results of the new technological design and science research on water-wasterwater in recent years. Since its fulfillment, the peripheral-feed peripheral-overflow secondary clarifiers have got the people concern and the superior of this kind of pond type has too gradually come out now. However, the application of the pond also exsits the problem of itself. Particularly the water distribution that comes to a decision the quality of its precipitate, is still without perfect calculation method, so this article makes a thorough study with the water distribution.This article firstly observes flow characteristics in the tank by dye tracer experiments, and study deeply the influence of the dentist flow giving precipitate efficiency, which giving water distribution theories foundation. By changeing inflow velocity and imitating the tank inflow, put forward the empirical formula of the circulation radius, which is a valueable consult for designing the clarifier radius.Another key problem is to how to resolve water distribution, and the method of resolving this problem is now still not very mature the calculation of water distribution of peripheral-feed peripheral-overflow secondary clarifiers includes determining form and sizes of cross-section of ditch of water distribution;determining numbers and sizes of holes of flow distribution distance between holes.This article give the good methods by changing the deep designs in water and changing the width designs.In particular, changing the width design in popular adapts the number calculating in which called Runge- Kutta, makes the fine calculation in proceeding in compuer.For inquirying into its applicability,this article verifies it to two actual examples in engineering.Although the results still exsit differences,the means of this article is still a kind of simple and dependable method to the engineering without very accurate in request and it can be used consult by designers.
