The contact problems in ceramic rolling bearings have been analyzed systematically. The researches on Finite Element Analysis of contact problems in china and abroad have been reviewed. The FEA method fit for the ball bearing design has been put forward, and my work paves the way for the future ceramic ball bearing design. The contact problems of the ball bearing are complex. If the traditional Hertz contact theory is used to calculate the contact stress and frictional force, the solution of contact stress and frictional force is lack of consistency. FEA is a good method to solve contact question. Though the 2D methods were often used to analysis the contact problem of bearings, 3D methods are more accurate. However how to define the contact conditions and construct the simplified model were still lack researches. The method of 3D contact FEA has been presented on the basis of contact model of spherical surface to plane in this paper. At the same time, the traditional Hertz contact theory and analyses of experiments are used to prove that the FEA model used in the paper is accuracy. On the basis of spherical surface to plane contact problem analysis, the complicated contact problems in the hybrid ceramic ball bearing are investigated. Through the axial direction loading experiment, the result of contact stress and strain are acquired, and the analysis method was proved to be correct. In this paper, the method that is used to construct the complex Finite Element Model such as the angular contact hybrid ceramic ball bearing is presented. Furthermore, the FEA of this model has been calculated.
