Pile foundation is an ancient, traditional foundation form which is applied widely, developed rapidly and has strong vitality. In late 20 years, pile foundation has been applied widely because of the development of high buildings in our country. However, many problems caused by driving piles have been puzzling scientific researchers and engineers and also prevent the better application of pile foundation in projects. In order to realize and resolve these problems, the research of the entire process in driving piles is necessary. The effect of pushing against soil is a task studied early. Numerical simulation is an economical method. However, there are many complicated problems in this process, such as the contact, slippage and friction between pile and soil ,the big geometric transfiguration , material non-linearity and contact non-linearity ,etc. In this paper, three-dimensional state is considered and a computer program SOIL2003 is developed. It is used to analyze the change of stress and displacement of soil around piles and checked by the measuring data. The work described in this thesis permits a further understanding of the distribution of stress and displacement of soil around piles and the effect of neighboring piles caused by driving. It conduces to the analysis of the effect of pushing against soil and puts reference to the design and construction of piles based on it.
