Concurrent Engineering absorbs computer technique , database technique , network technique under the support of CAD, CAM, CAPP and CAE, considers conception form , scheme analyses , detail design, production, after service , production rejects all factors, resolves effetely lots of defects such as difficulty of data exchange , design changing frequently , cost high, long cycle for design and so on.DFM is one of the most important techniques in Concurrent Engineering. It adds manufacture system factors to design process at the beginning of design, estimates design from the view of production feasibility, make design to accord manufacture require, reduces machining time and production cost. This thesis is about study and apply of DFM under Concurrent Engineering.There are some main questions in present DFM: l)it can not afford abundance integration data information for CAD/CAM; 2) some key theories and technologies need further study and apply.Aiming at above DFM question, combining design and manufacture industry, this thesis does the following studies:1) Method of production feature modeling, design feature, manufacture feature, manufacture resource on modeling.2) Apply OOD to build model information of product.3) Discuss mapping of design-manufacture.4) Analyse modeling of assemblage on product especially on mold.5) Discuss procedure design about PRO/E, DFM about mold, mapping of design-manufacture.
