| The quantity of industry water use and agriculture water use in Beijing is declining, but municipal water use is still rising. The percentage of residential household water demand in total water demand is becoming higher and higher. To make clear the rule of household water use has great significance to establish future safety water resource countermeasure of Beijing and answer how much water saving potential there will be under water using management of Beijing.This paper got data through in-door questionnaire investigation, using correlation analysis and multi regression method to analysis the data. The analysis software used is SPSS.The investigation indicate:the higher the monthly income of the whole family,the more the household water demand per capita per day;the higher the education degree,the more the household water demand per capita per day;the household water demand per capita per day change when the homeplace change,the order of the household water demand per capita per day from few to more is : Northwest China, Northeast China, North China, Central China and South China; the household water demand per capita per day varies alone with the washer style,the stool apparatus style;the water saving consciousness of the dweller improved at large;most dweller think present water price have small affect to water use.Through disposing and analyzing the result of the questionnaire investigation by correlation analysis and multi regression, It's found that Family populations, the percentage of washing clothes by hand and the attitude toward water saving are the three most important influence factors on household water using, and a residential water demandmodel of Beijing is also founded: y=17.543x1-40.426x2-20.855x3+75.492 Finally, suggestions and conclusions are put forward based on the analysis of the influence factors:saving water through economy leverage, strengthen water saving idea by drumbeating and education; spread water saving apparatus.
