Recently, with the development of high-speed vehicle, a series of high-speed watercraft appear , including wave-piercing-catamaran. Because wave-piercing -catamaran absorbs other watercrafts' merits, it has the capability of high speed, good sea-keeping, fine stabilization, comfortability, low draft, roomy deckboard. For it's merits as before, it has been well applied. Such as ferries, craft in army.But, during in the use of wave-piercing-catamaran, it's disadvantages emerge When sailing in stormy waves, it's movement is unstable. For the purpose of good sea-keeping, build-up stabilizing appendages will be added to the wave-piercing -catamaran.According to the result of model trial, the resistance of the wave-piercing -catamaran with build-up stabilizing appendages is low at low-speed, exceeding the performance of the WPC without build-up stabilizing appendages. And increases rapidly at high-speed, which influences the capability of high speed.In virtue of CFX, we can find the results as follow. If the build-up stabilizing appendages is at proper situation, the wave-piercing -catamaran can satisfy the requirement of good sea-keeping and high-speed. So it has the best general navigational capabilities.
