Study On Investment Of Abroad Hydroelectric Project

Nowadays with quick changing World economic, international investment is more and more popular and become the working scope of some international corporations. Investments on the hydroelectric project in the developing countries will not only take rich return to the investors but also drive the economy of the local areas and provide clean power for the developing of such areas. Investments on abroad hydroelectric projects have well foreground. Therefore it is very important and sensible to study the management and risk controlling of investments on abroad hydroelectric projects.In accordance with the actual cases during the execution of Khadori Hydroelectric Project in Georgia, the Author described the problems which should be highly noted during the management of investment on abroad hydropower projects. The main works and conclusions are as follows:(1) Summarized and analyzed the main type, general situation of current international investments as well as current situation of Chinese investment on abroad. Further set forth in detail another new type of international investment – BOT.(2) Described the background and running status of Khadori HPP from initial investigation before invest deciding, signing of investment agreements, as well as the social and economic and technical factors affecting the execution of the Project, and analyzed the main factors affecting the execution of this Project.(3) According to the specific problems existed during the execution of the project, concluded some reasonable suggestions to deciding and executing of the investments on abroad hydroelectric projects, and have value for reference.The main invest areas of China are located in the developing countries. It's usual that developing countries are lack of technique and manpower. Therefore, it's necessary to take full consideration on the risks before to make decision to put investment into these countries.Furthermore, due to some unidentifiable factors in the social and environmental respects into the developing countries, the completed contract clauses must be full considered to ensure the profit of investment.
