Due to the construction development and rebuilding of the old city in Linyi, though the city's flood-control and waterlog-drain system have been improved for several times, there are still many problems at present such as low standards, too many obstructive buildings in riverways and unmatched branch projects. Especially because of low standard in flood-control, the Linyi City is threatened by flood, leaving its residents in the shadow of flood disaster. Once a relatively big flood occurs, it will result in vast loss of lives and properties, and also influence Linyi's modernization .Therefore, it is imperative to construct the flood-control project of Linyi City. Combining the flood-control project, some conclusions are gained as follows:1 There are two main water system influencing the safety of flood-control in Linyi, ie, the Yi river and the Mid-Canal. The historical floods and the floods after 1949 are summarized. The present situation in flood-control and waterlog-drain are analyzed, and the present problems are pointed out.2 The causes and characteristics of the floods in Linyi are summarized, and the flood-control project and the waterlog-drain system in Linyi are also introduced.3 On the basis of summarizing the reconnaissance data of engineering geology, the engineering geology conditions of flood-control projects in the city of Linyi are studied, including the floodway project ,the hinge project, the Ge-Jiu Road Bridge project, the No.327 national highway road bridge project, the E-Huang Road Bridge project, and the Xiaogezhuang's chief inverted siphon project in the project of "Bifurcating the Su River to the Beng River".4 Seepage FEM analyses are carried out on the flood-control projects of Yi River, Beng River and Xiaosu River, respectively. Except that the bank body of the Yi River need anti-seepage measure because of the great seepage in its right bank, the other two projects meet the design demands with their low seepage. An anti-seepage processing scheme is proposed for the relative project.5 Stability analyses for the bank slope are carried out on the flood-control projects of Yi River,Beng River and Xiaosu River, respectively, and the stability of flood-control project in Linyi are demonstrated.
