As the rapid development of economy, the coal are used more and more increasingly in our country, now we use coal by one time is the most in the world, so the let quantity of byproduct-"fly ash" are sharp increasing, for protecting the health and habitation of human and getting the win-win of environmental and economical benefit, research for utilizing fly ash has practical significance. How to using fly ash effectively is the hotspot nowadays.Lvdun village,Hongshan,Wuhan planed to produce aerated concrete by using the fly ash of Gehua Power Plant, but because of the particularity of the fly ash , It doesn't accord with the standard of using fly ash to produce silicate product. So Lvdun village entrusted Resource and Environment School of Wuhan University of Technology to develop eligible aerated concrete by using the fly ash and analyze the economic feasibility of products.This research is for practical application, through analyzing the component of the fly ash, we know that it has a high loss quantity after burning, but has a low quantity of active SiO2, aimed at the characteristic of it and combined some mature theory of our country and other countries, we mostly adopted two methods to develop aerated concrete in the laboratory. Through plentiful of experimentation, we obtained the way of producing qualified aerated concrete at last. Then we made some microcosmic test analysis for aerated concrete by SEM and XRD, discussed the forming mechanism of intensity and the course of reaction.Finally we analyzed the economic feasibility with the testing result, advised LvDun village not to build product line of aerated concrete hurriedly. They can consider producing brick by using the fly ash or improving the burning system and dust catcher system of Gehua Power Plant. They can get the benefit of environment and economy through the right way probably.
