The autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete has been widely used in high-rise buildings for its advantages of light weight, heat preservation, heat insulation, economy and environmental protection. But the application technology of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete is not mature, the cracking problem in engineering application is very prominent, which limit its engineering application. In order to solve the cracking problem of the aerated concrete wall effectively, to explore the principles of autoclaved aerated concrete wall contraction cracks, the following are the main research work of this paper.(1)Through study and analysis the basic mechanical properties of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete block and masonry, this paper dentify the basic properties of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete and masonry mortar for the drying shrinkage test. It is supposed to help to the revision and the improvement of the relevant specifications and codes in the future.(2) The test of the5pieces of autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete masonry wall studied the shrinkage performance of autoclaved aerated concrete masonry wall under the natural environment and standard environment. Besides, the law that the curing age, the strength of mortar, mortar type, relative humidity, the ambient temperature, the height which affect the shrinkage of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete masonry wall was reached.(3)At the same time, from the research on the engineering application of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete masonry so much was learnt about the design, construction, and management. The measures to prevent the wall cracking and construction proposal based on the experiment results and the research was put forward. The test results have important significance to the popularization and application of the autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete.
