The Design And Research Of Network Appliance's Embedded Kernel

With the development of network technology and the approach of global information tide, people's living has been changing gradually. The appliance development has gone through a period from mechanical appliance, electric appliance to electronic appliance. In the twenty-first century, network appliance arises. It possesses not only functions of general appliance, but also functions of network communication.This paper analyzes the defects in former smart home framework, especially in the communication between network appliances and an Internet appliance server, then proposes a new framework in which network appliances can communicate with a community server directly. This paper also illuminates the implementation method of network appliances in this framework. The network appliance's kernel includes an embedded system and the TCP/IP protocol.This paper places emphasis on selecting, transplanting of the μC/OS- Ⅱ and TCP/IP protocol, also the using of the μC/OS- II and the implementation of the TCP/IP protocol. The research aims at the communication process between the network appliance and the community server, A MCU is used to emulate network appliance and implement a WEB server at a lower cost. A computer can use IE to access the MCU, get the states of the network appliance and control it.
