With the increasing of energy crisis and environment pollution, it has been an inevitable trend for electric vehicles taking place of the conventional fuel vehicles. The fact that most of the petroleum used in our country is from abroad makes this trend outstanding. At present, the technologies of electric vehicles are almost at the same level in all countries in the world. If our country thinks much of the ponderance of the problem and concentrates the limited resources to develop the technologies of electric vehicles, the industry of electric vehicles of our country will under go leaping developments. The driving technology is one of the most important technologies in electric vehicles. The American companies such as Solectria Company, General Motors Corporation, the Japanese companies such as Toyota Motor CO.,LTD., the Institute of Electrical Engineering Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other research institutes of the world, have taken up with the driving system technology for a long time. The controllers from abroad have the following characteristics:(1) The core control device is outdated, the advanced devices such as TMS320LF2407 or TMS320LF2812 are not employed and some better algorithm can not be accomplished; (2) The controllers are expensive, the industrialization of electric vehicle of our country is badly baffled;(3) The source program code is not open to us and we have not intellectual property of our own, making the matching between program and electric vehicles very difficult. The domestic status is listed:(1) The involved motor-drivers are almost overseas, so we have no intellectual property of our own;(2) The motor-controllers are not researched with practical electric vehicles, so there are some problems with the compatibility and matching;(3) The motor-control theory aiming at electric vehicles and their products properties are not well-rounded, the union of research and development has not formed. Because of all the mentioned cases, our country should pay more attention to the construction of the developing union of electric vehicle, improving the abilities of research and development of our own, so we can have our own intellectual property.Based on this background, this dissertation analyses the theories of vector control of induction machine, and designs a electric vehicle driver employing TMS320LF2407 (a Digital Signal Processor), IPM (Intelligent Power Module) and so on. The controlalgorithm of the driver is designed to meet the operating of electric vehicle.In this dissertation, the RFOC (Rotor field Oriented Vector control) of induction machine is employed, and it is analysed in detail with the practical situation of electric vehicle. The energy feed back is one of the most important technologies in electric vehicles. This dissertation discusses the way of energy feed back in the vector control, combining the charging and discharging characteristics of the lithium batteries and the status of the operating of electric vehicles. In the end, the related algorithm is presented and realized in the electric vehicle system.On the other hand, this dissertation analyses some key sections of the hardware and software design of the driver. The snubber circuit design of the main bus, the analog inputting channels, and CAN (Control Area Network) interface circuit are discussed in detail, and some vital problems of the hardware design are suggested. For the software design, this dissertation gives the leading means which can realize the vector control algorithm on the DSP. Finally, some key points of programming are analysed.This dissertation gives the following experiments methods and results: rotor time constant estimation, the test of excitation current, the effect verifying of vector control algorithm. Some field assembling results are listed too. The results prove that the design methods of the hardware, software and algorithm are feasible.At the same time, the designed controller has operated on the electric vehicles for a long time, the results indicate that this controller can meet the operating...
