There are two problems in boiler's burning control system --- dynamical quality and economical burning, which is different from most other process control. It is the real combustion optimization not only to make the main steam pressure keep the good dynamical quality, but also to make the fuel into the boiler burn completely. Based on the regulation mechanism of immune system, a new immune genetic algorithm and a novel immune PID controller are put forward. The aspects discussed in the paper are as follows:1. The paper summarizes the present immune algorithm, and then based on the frame of the genetic algorithm, modeling the immune actions of life-form, puts forward a new immune genetic algorithm (IGA ). The optimization result of multi –peak function shows the algorithm can get over immature convergence, enhance the whole and local searching ability. The application in parameter optimization of power –plant boiler's steam pressure control system proves the validity of the algorithm.2. By studying and reducing the regulation rules of immune system, the paper proposes the self-regulation mechanism of antibody response in body liquid immunity. And by comparing immune system with control system, the paper puts forward a novel immune controller. 3. For there is static difference in the immune controller, an immune PID controller is constructed to improve the control performance. The simulation result in the main steam pressure control shows this controller can quickly response the real power instruction, improve the efficiency of the units and get over the impact of inner disturbing.4. Aiming at combustion efficiency and pollution emission of the power–plant boiler, the paper applies IGA to search the optimum oxygen content in the smoke, then regulates the wind volume. By this way, the paper realizes combustion optimization. The simulation shows that the combustion optimization control presented in this paper is feasible, it can not only increases the combustion efficiency but also decrease the pollution content.
