Computer-aided Calculation And Analysis Of The Roadway Lighting Parameters And Their Applications In Practical Design

Roadway transportation plays a very important role in the economic development of a country. Because of its advantage of convenience and flexibility, roadway is even more important than the railway and flight. The length of roadway in a country and the amount of automobile is becoming one of the symbols of modernization. One problem of the roadway transportation is the efficiency, especially at night. If the roadway can be fully used at night, it will increase the economic beneficial greatly. People are taking more considerations in the lighting environment at night when designing the roadway. In our country, with more and more construction of the roadway, the lighting design becomes more important than before.AutoCAD is the most widely used CAD software in the world, its open system allow people to redeveloped it and it also provide many powerful tools to fulfill this task by people. A computer aided design (CAD) method for roadway lighting design is actualized in this thesis, which provides automatically calculating and analyzing the parameters of the roadway lighting., in the surrounding of AutoCAD for the architect.The method in this thesis assists the designer not to be restricted by traditional design method, reduces errors caused by experiential designing, and incarnates computer's advantages on fast-speeding calculating and real-time dealing with data.This thesis is divided into seven parts. The first chapter discussed the realistic meaning of the application of computer aid design in the lighting design of roadway. Second chapter introduced the development of the research in this field in our country and abroad. The third chapter described the software platform and development tools, the basic idea of the present study and the whole structure of the software; the forth chapter described the flow, design and actualization of program, and the calculation of the parameters are demonstrated. The fifth chapter is about the output of the calculation and analysis. A design report and the will be offered, and the data of the roadway will be input into the database. The technology background will also be described in this chapter. The sixth chapter is about the comparison and analysis with the existing software for accuracy. The last chapter is the summarization and expectation.
