The analog display instrument and the digital display instrument are the two styles of the traditional recorder. In recent years, the analog recorder trends to be replaced by the paperless recorder which belongs to the digital instrument. But the digital display of paperless recorder can not reflect the variation trend and the transition process of the input, and is not useful to make important decisions of operation. Integrating the traditional index indication and the digital data storage is the suitable way.A new digital recorder with index indication, which integrates the advantage of analog display instrument and digital display instrument, is introduced. It can not only accurately measure, display, and record the magnitude but also reflect the variation trend of the input. The main body of this recorder is a closed-loop system constituted by a digital controller and an AC servo electromotor.The thesis firstly introduces the commonly characteristic of closed-loop instrument, analyses the influence of the compose parts of the instrument to it's static and dynamic character; discusses the dynamic research methods and the modeling manner of it. It also introduces the method of establishing transfer function of the closed-loop system and explains how to get the solution. The control arithmetic is also described. Based on this, the transfer function model of the recorder is established, and been analyzed by MATLAB.The core of the hardware of this instrument is a two single-chip computers system which consists of AduC836 and 89S52. The divided jobs of the two single-chip computers are recommended in this thesis. Further, the input signal disposal circuit, the electromotor-driven circuit, the location feedback by photoelectric code-disc and the data memory & trans circuit are also described. The thesis introduces the different software according to the two single-ships computer respective functions, focuses on the control algorithm of binary searching approach, the process of the data exchange of the two single-chips, the data organization in the FLASH ROM and the communication course between the single-chip and the PC.Experiment results show that this digital recorder with index indication has high precision, stability and sensitivity. It will exert tremendous action in industry.
