With the fast development of Micro Electronic Technology, the traditional mechanical control technology and fluid control technology is substituted by MET and made it extensive use on Internal Combustion Engine. In modern spark ignition engine, in order to optimize Spark Advance Angle to increase the dynamic performance and economic performance and decrease emission, the Microcomputer controlled ignition system is adopted. Microcomputer controlled ignition system developed in this paper is suitable for gasoline engine bench test. The electronic control system using ATmegal6L controls the engine ignition by collecting rotate speed signal and camshaft position signal, achieves online modification, and displays the spark advance angle online. The system achieve high speed date collected and managed using software developed by ourselves.Hardware of the electronic control system is composed of 5 parts: micro controller system circuit, input channel, output channel, online modification part and display part. Input channel processes the rotate speed signal of the crankshaft and camshaft position signal; micro controller system circuit includes micro controller and main control circuit, micro controllers collects data, calculation and output ignition control signal; output channel drive ignition module with drive circuit, and online modification part can amend ignition advance angle online. The software mainly processes the rotate speed signal of the crankshaft and camshaft position signal to export ignition control signal.Experiment indicates that electronic control ignition system based on Megal6L micro controller that we developed achieves the accurate ignition, and has perfect dynamic response to the speed variety.
