Power system dynamic simulation error analysis is the basis for learning the simulation error, modifying the simulation model and improving the simulation accuracy. The paper researches two aspects of simulation: (1)Error analysis for single model simulation: the paper researches the error analysis of the load model dynamic simulation. Based on the limitation of error criteria in direct method of load model identification, the paper proposes the advanced error criteria of time series residue. Research is also carried on evaluating the simulation sample error and on prompting accuracy of load modeling identification algorithm. (2) Error analysis for whole grid models system dynamic simulation: Research is carried on from dynamic characteristic of measured variable and simulated one. With prony analysis being the tool for extracting dynamic characteristics, error indicators are proposed on different time scale. Error evaluation based on both measured fault data in one power grid and its several simulation results on modified models is carried on. The paper has done something good to explore the method for evaluating the simulation sample accuracy and supplying error criterion for closed loop simulation.
