Simulation validation has great effects on power system analysis and control. Theproper error criteria for comparing the Wide Area Measurements (WAMs) andsimulations are the pre-request on simulation validation.This paper divides into two parts, separately aims at single part simulationvalidation and the entire grid simulation validation, used error criteria target takes themethod. This paper while also carried on the project practical application programmingon simulation accuracy theory discussion.In the load model simulation validation, this paper researches the error analysis ofthe load model dynamic simulation, proposes the error criteria based on time seriesresidue. This paper examined the synthesize load model accuracy with this criterion.In the entire grid simulation validation, this paper proposes the time-scale basederror criteria on simulation validation. The proposed criteria can not only evaluate theaccuracy of the simulation, but also provide the information for model and parametercorrection. The case study on the measured data and simulations shows the efficiency ofthe proposed error criteria.
