Recently, the arisen object-oriented thought brings extensive influence to GIS and itsapplication fields. The data structure of GIS experiences an important reform signed by theadvance of the object-oriented data model Geodatabase inArcGIS 8. The dissertation organizes traffic data of Changchun city by Geodatabase databasemodel of ArcGIS9.0. At first, the dissertation introduces the constitute and developmentcourse of geographic spatial data model, introduces the object-oriented data modelGeodatabase, and puts forward the basis of choosing the subject and meaning of the study inthe foreword part. The dissertation puts forward whole scheme of the object-oriented traffic logicaldatabase in the second chapter. Synthetically contraposing the manner to express world inGIS and the content and expression of traffic data, the dissertation puts forward the managedthought of traffic data and the technical route of founding database according to theobject-oriented managed thought and manner. Final, the management scheme of Changchuncity's traffic data is founded. The third chapter is the core of the dissertation. In this chapter, the dissertation studysome aspects such as data validity, data quality, realizing traffic geometric network andreality incarnate. All this will form a particular scheme of traffic data. Based on discussingthe questions in existing data, the dissertation integrates Geodatabase data model and trafficdata of Changchun city. The validation rules are used to insure the validity of data, whichincludes attribution rules, relationship rules and connectivity rules. The topology and its rulesare used to insure the quality of spatial data, which includes 26 topology rules. The geometricnetwork is used to realize the traffic network. Especially, the traffic data and traffic networkformed by linear reference and dynamic segmentation technology make sense to the trafficdata structure and traffic network query. The relationship class is used to actualize the relationin traffic data. Subsequently, the dissertation compares Geodatabase data model and formerdata model of GIS and analyzes their difference in following aspects such as data structure,data quality, data integration and actual realization. Further more, the dissertation indicate thepredominance of Geodatabase data model in organizing traffic data. Final, the dissertation summarizes the characters and predominance of traffic database ofChangchun city based on the Geodatabase data model. In addition, the dissertationsummarizes its shortage and expects the application of Geodatabase data model in otherfields.
