The Evaluation Of City Flood Disaster Based On GIS And Building GeoDatabase

As the continuous expansion of city scope, the impact of flood disaster on personal safety, economy and mind grows. GIS serves as a powerful weapon for anti-flood and disaster prevention in cities. We can visually simulate both the disaster and its loss which is to happen and will possibly happen taking advantage of the spatial analysis function and geography statistic analysis function of GIS. Decision on anti-disaster, loss decrement and rescue can be made based on the disaster evaluation. This paper is emphasized on building ArcGIS city GeoDatabase, evaluating disaster impact on different level with the geography statistic analysis function of ArcGIS based on the database, introducing the evaluation method of economic loss and its realization, and choosing evaluation method with different data support.
