Research On The Theories And Applications Of Product Structure And Configuration Management Function In PDM

Product structure and configuration management (PSCM) is a very importantcomponent of PDM system, and it is an important tool to relate all kinds of functionand application system of product lifecycle. Combining the requirements of theGSPDM system of WuXi Guosheng coporation and of the JCPDM system ofJinCheng coporation, this paper has lucubrated the PSCM. The main researchoutcomes are showing following: First, analyzed the founction requirements and design objectives of the PSCMsystem of two enterprise modes and put out the framework of the system. Then, analyzed the definition and components of product structure management;lucubrated the product lifecycle oriented product structure model, and thereoutestablished the multi-view of product structure; made a research of the definingarithmetic of product structure and of the integrating method of PDM andSolidWorks. Third, analyzed the definition of configuration and the objectives of productconfiguration, and made a research of the product configuration rules and of itsrealizing method and realizing form; discussed the methods to integrate PDM andERP and lucubrated the integrating method based on medial file XML. Finally, the PSCM system was designed, developed and applied in both GSPDMsystem and JCPDM system, therefore the above content were verified partially. Andnow the two systems are both running successfully.
