Based On The PDM Engine Connecting Rod Product Structure And Configuration Management System Research

With the rapid development of the automobile industry in our country, the engine products update more and more quickly. That put forward the new request to the product configuration of the engine connecting rod production enterprise. To strengthen the product configuration management has become the indispensable support technology of the modern manufacturing. it can reduce the cost of products and shorten the delivery time. Moreover, it can meet the customer’s personal requirements and effectively improve the products’ competitiveness in market. Therefore, the research on configuration management of engine connecting rod bears great significance.This thesis is according to a leading domestic connecting rod production enterprise. Firstly, this thesis expounded the background and concepts of PDM technology, anlyzed its important position in enterprise information and industrial production. The concepts and principles of product structure and configuration management in PDM was expounded, the existing problems and countermeasures was also anlyzed. Secondly, analyzed the character of product structure, and seted up the product data model, studyed the product data model of retarder and quickly establish special database structure in terms of enterprise’s requirement. The idea of customer demand oriented PDM and fast configuration suggested by this paper has made a good foundation for satisfying the specific demand of different users. Finally,this thesis applies such kind of system to engine connecting rol to make customer achieve rapid configuration of products and enterprise manager realize configuration management by C#, and provides reference to related enterprises on the implement of configuration management.
