Building energy saving research, especially on residential buildings, is a very imminence work facing the international energy crisis. In view of social development, it is vitally important. Building energy-saving research have being probed for a long time, and the development of energy efficiency building materials, application of new technology, new types of door and window and new types of energy source were paid more attention. However, the effect of climate integrated into building energy-saving design (includes: site selection, layout of buildings, building shape and sole objective design, constitution details etc.) was ignored long-term. But for building design and building energy-saving, they are very important and urgent research field.Based on the property of climate of our country and taken into account the diversity and instability of climate influence factor, energy-saving design methods, aiming at the residential building in hot summer and cold winter region and iciness winter region, were proposed in this paper. The aspects of layout of buildings, building shape and enclosure details were included in. It is to dream up energy saving and local colorful modern residential building.This paper was unfolded from the importance of energy saving, review the research status in this field, deciding the research aspect. Then energy saving method for buildings in hot summer and cold winter region was proposed, including integer design and sole design. The energy saving method for buildings in iciness region was proposed in turn. Energy saving modification for old buildings was also taken into account. At last, diversified energy saving construction details influence on structure in iciness region were paralleled and illustrated in this paper.
