In this paper, the operating principle of CCD is described firstly, then the electronic circuit of CCD cameras is studied deeply and designed. Fairchild 's CCD191 is chosen as image sensor, so its driving circuit is analyzed and devised with CPLD based on comparing several traditional methods. Through the analysis about the noise composition and corresponding suppression measures, a double sampling method based on digital technique is presented in allusion to the limitation of existing methods. In addition, a data acquisition system is designed to collect CCD signal, it includes four units: data acquisition, data buffering, USB and logic controller, among of them, the USB realizes the correspondence between the data acquisition system and a computer.At the same time, the software to support the hardware system is also programmed. Firmware is compiled with KeilC to realize the fast transmission of USB. Driver is developed with Windows DDK to connect hardware to software. Control platform is also programmed with VC++ to show collected waves, for the user's further developing more powerful platform, a routine is provided.In the experiment, the stable output of CCD and operation of data acquisition system are achieved, test data and waves are given out, the system's performance and problem are summarized which can provide some experience for further research.
