With the rapid development of transport, automobile has come into families and been a part of our life. But traffic accidents happen frequently, and most of them are due to bad brake performance. So it brings new topics for research and development of technologies and equipments about automobile brake-performance test.The paper introduces the signification and background of the automobile brake-performance test system, the trend of modern electronic design today and some related technologies. It discusses about the design method of brake-performance test system. And we design a brake-performance test system based on SOPC, according to the factual conditions and technique requirement. We do anti-interference design on hardware and data process in software, and test them to avoid the interference in the test system.In summary, the main works in the paper is below:1. It introduces the signification and background of the automobile brake-performance test system, trend of modern electronic design today and some related national test standard. We can know PLD, EDA, SOPC, VHDL and APEX? 20K200E development board which we use to develop this design in paper.2. The paper discusses the techniques of automobile brake-performance targets, its constitution and function. Based on this, we design the whole design project including software and hardware design.
