Intelligent synchronous high voltage switch can be utilized to minimize the switching overvoltages and high inrush currents in power systems, as well as to improve the overall power quality. After studying the synchronous switching technology and design of foreign chip product, combining the presently rising EDA technology and the trait of large programmable logic device, this paper puts forward a project of designing the whole interface based FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). This article first introduce theory of synchronous switching technology. Combining SOPC(System On Programmable Chip) design method, then the functional partition of software/hardware and the design process of the functional parts are discussed.the whole system is partitioned NiosII system and hard -real time part, the synchronous control unit belongs to hard-real time part, and NiosII settles low real time task ,for examlple:data manage, alternation of man and machine, communication etc.Hard-real time namely programmable logic units, apply the Top-Down designing method, and also gives the design, simulation and test of the important modules. And then described the design by VHDL (Very-hight-peed-IC Hardware Description Language), and implement in altera CYCLONE EP1C6. Critical technology is zero crossing point precision dectection for three phase voltage, and used quartus II 5.0 embed logic analyzer to validate. The NiosII system is built by SOPC Builder , and the primary software design base on real time operation system uC/OS-II in the NiosII IDE.Accomplish hard-real time part and AVALON bus interface, so make NiosII system and hard-real time part to be one part,so finish the whole system.
