With the improvement of the people of living level, with the increase of private car , cars are often stolen .vehicle positioning and theft-against technology has become a great demand of the market. The development of GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication) and GPS(Global Position System) technology provide the possibility of the vehicle position and theft-against system . baseing on the technology of the SM (short messabe) in GSM , the thesis studies vehicle positioning and against theft system using GPS and GSM, to combine positioning with against theft function of vehicle. The thesis is detailed to discusse the basic principle and technology of vehicle location and theft-against system involved, include DSP , GPS , and the short messange ,the selecton, use, development tool and environment of the DSP controller are specially annayzed in detail. The thesis introduce the hardware of vehicle location and theft-against system ,include DSP controller TMS320F240,wireless GSM telecommunication module TC35T and outer control circuit, and detailedly introduce their conjunctonThe software which was adopted in the design is the Embedded Real Time Operation system μC/OS-Ⅱ,and introduce the communication protocol of SMS(GSM 07.05), the PDU format,AT conmand and the protocol of navigation(NMEA-0183) used in the system in detail, and introduce how to transplante μC/OS-Ⅱ to TMS320F240. The multitask is divided in accordance with the all function of the system and define the PRI of each task. All the work run in order under the management of the μC/OS-Ⅱ.With μC/OS-Ⅱ, the system will be more real time and reliable, and the software design is easy to divide the work and cooperates, and improve the efficiency.
