Using architectural heritage for tourism development is an important strategy method, even is the only method to keep the evolution of itself. So, how to carry out the adaptable renewal of architectural heritage to avoid destroying? How to incarnate the principia of "use in reason" witch recognized by many expert? To satisfy the demands of the development, there are several questions for discussion: the balance between "protect "and "develop", the feasible mode of renewal.On the one hand, traditional area need commerce method for subsistence and development, on the other hand, the exploiture will influence the heritage inevitably in many aspect. A great deal of historical information will be disturbed during the exploiture.This thesis will analyse different modes of the exploiture about architectural heritage, including traditional settlements and architectures. Three designing practices are combined : Protect and develop programming for Luxun District in Shaoxing, Protect and develop programming for KeQiao in Shaoxing , and Project for Cheng Family's House in Tunxi.The intention of this thesis is to find the feasible way of heritage protect through tourism development ,by the summarizing of experience about integrating of architectural heritage and tourism. And we can realize the cultural value, relationship, advantages and disadvantages, exploiture modes, furthermore, establish the fundamental of renewal. To make suggestions for the designing program, the thesis try to establish a system of project(including mastermind and design)by integrating some theoretics of Tourism Planning, the extensive value of architectural heritage can be preserved accordingly.
