The Development Background Analysis Of The Modern Urban Design In China Over The Past 20 Years

Stylize, the Nobel economics prize gainer, said at the Chinese representative place of world Bank that," In addition to high technology development, the most affective international affairs in the initial stage of 21 centuries, is the Chinese urbanization ". The exclusive urban construction brought by the urbanization in large-scale will evidently makes differences on the urban space environment in China. The subjects of how to learn the principles, which we use to guide urban design development in China, of urban design development in a more reasonable, more deeply and more clearly way; and how to construct superior urban space and environment while make efforts on economic and social development, are now which we have to face on.From the political economics angle, this article analyzes the political and economical background of urban design development in the past twenty years in China as well as compares with that of the western countries. It basically analyzes the correlation ship of the social politics, economic development and urban design. On this foundation, according to the future trends in politics and economical development in China, this thesis makes the suggestions on how to develop urban design in China.This thesis argues that the most basically motive of urban design is economical push and pull. And urban design should have more advantageous to push the city construction and keep the development of the economic. At the same time, the value mindset and forms of urban design are still affected by the policy, the system (include the political system, economic system). The policies and principle frames are not only a restricted condition of urban design but also a choice of the urban design method .On this foundation, the thesis finally put forward the new political and economic thoughts of urban design around two great subjects of the efficiency and equity.
