Switched reluctance motor (SRM)take on the merits such as simple structure,low-cost,flexible control,etc. Switched reluctance servo drives system (SRSD) has the advantage that conventional AC or DC servo drives system may have not, It's the strongest competitor to traditional AC and DC servo drive system, so it has powerful future. Accordingly,as a emerging technology,theory and application research for SRSD need to be studied.This dissertation primarily presents the development of Switched Reluctance Motor at home and abroad,recommends the basic structure of SRSD system and its features,and then describes the characteristics and working principle of SRM in details. The object of this dissertation is 8/6 pole,0.75KW SRM. By comparing several control methods,Designing a servo control scheme based on position sensor. The controller uses the C8051F021 of Cygnal Company as the main control unit,adopts PID digital adjusting and PWM controlling,produces Turn-on and Turn-off signal of the IGBT,combining with the protection current and voltage.The designing of Power Convertor bases on the principle of matching structure,high efficiency and convenient controlling. Compared with several power convertors,a kind of less main switch-components structure(a shared independent power converter for a 4-phase SRM) is put forward. This structure has several advantages such as low cost,simple control strategy and more safety. The software of system is programmed. The modular program can make the program readable and modifiable.After the running test,The system has a good performance and high efficiency,achieves the anticipative result.
