Expecting for optimal structure scheme as well as decreasing investment , structural engineers pay much more attention to structural optimization of high-rise building with high investment and long construction cycle .This paper carried out a preliminary study on optimization problems frame-shear structure which is common in high-rise building.The amount and arrangement of shearing wall in frame-shear structure have an great effect on mechanical property and economic feasibility of the frame-shear structure .So ,its optimization problems is discussed in this paper centered on the optimization problems of the shearing wall.A scheme using more amounts of shear wall is better only from the viewpoint of earthquake resistance .whereas ,it's money-consuming one as economic feasibility is concerned .A mathematic model on shear wall quantity optimization of frame-shear structure is founded through probing factors shear wall's stiffness and number which influencing the whole structure .On the basis of this ,a shear wall optimized program is developed by using C++ language ,the program is available for preliminary planning stage and could figure out the shear-wall's stiffness and number according to the specification's request .which offers a ground for defining the number of shear wall.As a complex problem shear-wall optimization is .this paper deal with mainly about what the reasonable height a shear-wall should be ,the different kinds of effect could bring about when the different position are adopted to break off the shear wall the affect of shear wall cutting off on the whole structure is discussed from theory pointof view .combination with a real engineering ,a 3-D model is founded from using ANSYS which a common software based on finite element method .Finally ,by contrasting analysis results of three type of earthquake response spectrum , it is proved that breaking off the shear-wall from inflection point is not safe enough .however ,no obvious influence could be detected if the position were above the point where shear force was zero, and on the contrary the horizontal displacement of structural top and the angle of displacement between layer is reduced ,the integral stiffness of the structure is improved as well.
