Frame shear wall structure consists of frame and shear wall, a collection ofadvantages of frame structure and shear wall structure, vertical and horizontal loads tobear ability, can withstand the power and resistance level of load of strong. Frame shearwall structure is the main component to resist lateral force, almost takes total more than80%due to the horizontal seismic action, shear wall stiffness, lateral number, thelocation of shear walls in direct response to the stiffness of the structure and theperformance of collaborative work. Great influence the number and arrangement of notat the same time, the stiffness of the whole structure and the stiffness center position,while the stiffness of shear wall size will directly affect the safety and the cost of projectstructure, so the processing quantity and arrangement of shear wall in frame shearstructure is an important problem in the design of.On the one hand from the frame shear wall structure principle of the continuousanalysis, according to the current Chinese seismic design code, the calculation formulais derived to satisfy the story drift limit values of the seismic shear wall. And gives theoptimal quantity of shear wall under different seismic grade, site classification anddesign of block case diagram, the various factors that influence the optimal quantity ofshear wall is discussed; on the other hand, the formula of maximum interstory drift andvertex displacement in engineering, summarizes the theoretical method to determine theoptimal structure system stiffness characteristic value; finally, based on the seismicfortification of a frame-8degrees of shear wall structure as an example, in accordancewith the above method, the analysis and calculation of the optimal quantity of shearwall of the structure, and based on the experience formula structure for the best rigiditycharacteristic value, the shear wall is the best stiffness, verified the correctness of theoptimal quantity of shear wall, and the construction of the seismic analysis.
