Expecting for optimal structure scheme as well as decreasing investment, structural engineers pay much more attention to structural optimization of high-rise building with high investment and long construction cycle. This paper carried out a preliminary study on optimization problems frame-sheat structure which is common in high-rise building, and supplied a valuable reference to structure designer, it is feasible and effective to optimal structure design.This article focused on discussing about optimization of frame-shear structure basing on displacement. Firstly, it summarized some experimental which predecessors has done, then obtained that anti-seismic structure design must control the between-storey distortion and total distortion of structure. Using distortion to description the performance parameter of anti-seismic structure may not only manifest the structural unit the extent of damage better, but also can sufficient control the performance capability of the non-structural component.The shear wall rigidity determined by the rigidity characteristic value of structure, in situation that section size of beam and column and shear stiffness basicly determined. This paper proposes a method of solving structure best rigidity characteristic value basing on analyzing the joint operation of frame and shear wall, especially citing which predecessor obtained the expression of endogenic force and displacement. Then this article constructs a mathematics model based on the limited value the structure apex, to infer the best rigidity the expression of shear wall. Afterward, a case study applied direct this method for a twelve-storey frame-shear building is included, through selecting three shear wall models, and the analysis of the frame-shear buildings with SATWE software are completed.The different kinds of effect could bring about when the different position are adopted to break off the shear-wall the affect of shear-wall cutting off on the whole structure is discussed from theory point of view combination with a real engineering, a 3-D model is founded from using ETABS, which a common software based on finite element method. Finally, by contrasting an analysis results of three type of earthquake response spectrum, it is proved that breaking off the shear-wall from inflection point is not safe enough, however, no obvious influence could be detected if the position were above the point where shear force was zero, and on the contrary the horizontal displacement of structural top and the angle of displacement between layer is reduced, the integral stiffness of the structure is improved as well. Furthermore, structure's entire shear and moment are decreased effectively.
