The paper designs and develops a centralized control station fault simulation and training system.The papers presents customer requirement and system frame in detail; According to the alarm information and the key content reported to dispatchers when faults occur, the paper designs the expert knowledge date base and inference procedure; Hierarchy fault diagnosis is brought up with the characteristics of fault information, that is, to search the suspected fault areas in terms of breaks position, identify the fault components on the ground of tripped relay, and verify the diagnosis results in regard to the electrical variables measurement; Based on the protection domain of relays, the paper infers the devices, which should be checked to confirm the fault reason.
