The energy-saving control strategy using thyristors can change the operation states of the induction motor and effect it . It is simple to study the process of transition using the simulation of thyristor-induction motor system. In the paper, the simulation model of thyristor-induction motor system has been found based on the mathematics models of them. The soft ware MATLAB/SIMULINK is used. The program is applicable to research on energy-saving control strategies of motor. The starting process of the machine and the process of power off, re-closing, voltage modulation, delta and star connection changing, realized by controlling thyristor under different topology can be simulated using the model. According to the model, the energy-saving control strategy by thyristors with the motor carrying special load has been studied and served a typical example. The research provides theoretics direction for practices production and testifies the simulation model is available.
