With the enlargement of highway scale, large bridges have become more and more. Manual management does not control much information to answer construction management of bridge's needs. For the sake of managing construction objects and realizing the modem management, construction management of Bridge must depend on computer and software.Developing software with GIS in construction management of bridge has both traditional merit of manage system and graphical display of GIS. It is a new decision-making to display figure. Meanwhile, it is also a better means to further advance modem management of bridge construction and realize computer management. The paper integrates construction management of cable stayed-bridge to develop a software regarding information system of construction management of bridge. It adopts software engineering thought and is based on technical tools including MapX4.5 and Visual Basic6.0.In this paper, a lot of work is taken. It involves systems analysis, confirming the goal and principle of system, designing and organizing the system datebase, developing and applying the system model and implementing the system function. Scientific exploitation steps and ideas are considered in all process. The key technique is also discussed in this system, such as ComGIS, ADO, GPS.Application and study on information system of construction management of bridge has a lot of merit to surpass traditional management system, such as assistanting leader decision-making,advancing management efficiency, controlling construction program and quality, etc. With development of it, it must have academic meaning and practical value on construction management of bridge.
