The onboard integrated information system is important as the revolution of automobile technique. In the system, we use the digital signal on measurement and controlling compared to the conventional analog digital. Therefore, it brings the modernization of the automatic equipments to a new top. The display technique is one of the key techniques of the onboard integrated information system,which is the research content of this paper.The onboard integrated information system is the functionality enlargement of the conventional instrument system. The conventional mechanical instruments have a lot of weakness, such as they cover immovable space, the display accuracy is low, they are unreadable, they have bad augmentability and efficiency. As a result, to instead of the conventional mechanical instruments use digital virtual instruments is an important subject of vehicle automatization.The virtual instrument technique is an important application of the virtual technique, and it is the profound combination of the modern computer technique and the instrument technique, an important technique in the measurement field. It breaks through the concept of the conventional instrument and causes basically change on the configuration and the design of the instrument, which is called 'The software is the instrument'.In the paper, I build the onboard integrated information system for the electromobile by the GUI tool LabVIEW of America NI Corporation. It's a virtual instrument system. With the computer as its core, the system could acquire various information of the vehicle, such as the cell voltage and the vehicle velocity. At the same time, the system has the ability to process, to display and to warn in the abnormal situation. Therefore, the driver could react correctly according to the alarm, which makes the vehicle could always run in a safe condition. The system also contains the function of GPS navigation, backsight camera, network communication, video and music, which can meet the special requirement of the passenger. And the system also relizes automolile data recorder in software. Because the information capacity is very large, it is displayed to different interfaces which can be easily switched on the touch screen. And the system also reserves CAN ports to exchange data with CAN bus in the vehicle.In the onboard integrated information system built by virtual instrumenttechnique, there is a flat touch screen in front of the driver. To meet the operation custom of the driver, the vehicle information is displayed on the screen as convention. The caution lights with sound signals will display on the screen when in the limited condition or the abnormal condition. The parameters and alerting signals displayed on the screen will be refreshed when the condition changes, you can switch the parameters easily by the soft-keyboard. It is more readable, more accurate, more updatable and more extensible when the virtual instrument is applied.The research of this system is proved to be of great signification by practice. However, we need more improvements before application.
