Car Information Display System

To meet the development need of automotive technology, the idea of integrated information display system of automobile is put forward for the display technology of electronic instrument panel of passenger cars. The idea is based on the theories of both automotive electronics and automobile human engineering which are new marginal subjects applying advanced technology and various new products, especially micro-electronic products.The automotive electronic star net system is proposed for data communication to build automotive integrated information display system. Automotive integrated information display system adopts CRT as the display terminal of all information. Abundance information may be displayed such as routine information, warning information, air-condition information and calendar information and so on. Radar anti-collision warning information is especially designed for radar anti-collision system. All information is showed in one screen, but classified in to different windows which can be switched by press-button switch, named "small keyboard" . Priorities of display windows are identified by control program. Circuit drawing is protracted by Protel and its correctness is tested by ERC in Protel; the display interfaces are virtually simulated by LabVIEW which demonstrates its rationality. The feasibility of the display system of automotive integrated information is validated.The integrated display system of automotive information can provided all kinds of information more accurately in time. Drivers are easy to obtain information and control automobiles. This research should reflect the development trend of electronic instrument panel of passenger cars.
