In order to meet requirement of real-time control system based on PC formagnetic bearing, PCI control card is designed successfully in this paper, whichincludes eight-channel 10 bit A/D, eight-channel 12 bit D/A and speed of rotationcalculating through capture mode. In sample sector, synchronous centralized sampleand synchronous decentralized sample are realized through "interfere avoid" method,which solves the interfering from the PWM power amplifier. In D/A sector,centralized output and decentralize output are realized. All meet the requirement thatfive degree of freedom of magnetic bearing is controlled through ways of centralizedcontrol or decentralized control. In order to ensure property of hard real-time andmulti-task, real-time scheduling kernel is migrated to DOS operating system. PCIdiver program and control task program are developed using C language, which formthe last control software including real-time scheduling kernel. Static levitation andhigh-speed rotation of five degree of freedom AMB is successfully performed whichuse this control system with PID and H∞ algorithm. The experiment proved that PCI control card has a property of highperformances, high reliability and low cost, and that real-time control system basedon PC has advantage of cost, development efficiency and performance in contrast todigital controller based on DSP, which have formed solid base for development ofadvanced controller for magnetic bearing.
