Motor testing technology plays an important role in motor design and manufacturing. Computer technology, measurement technology and the rapid development of motor control technology, promote the development of motor testing technology. Automatic motor test system has high accuracy and speed, able to conduct dynamic testing of motor and control the testing process. It has broad application prospects and markets.It based on the practical application, according to manufacturing and control system design of EPS motor, develops an EPS motor test system based on virtual instrument. Comparison of characteristics of electrical parameters algorithm, according to the actual situation of this test system, selects the appropriate electrical parameters algorithm. The paper designed out Motor moment of inertia measurement based on the standard flywheel, through theoretical derivation and analysis. The method can calculate the rotational inertia of the motor, through the two motor free slow process of increased the standard flywheel or not. The method need not extract the test rotor ,convenient, fast., high accuracy of the method was confirmed, by matlab Modeling and simulation.It Analysis of the deficiencies of the method, puts an improved method for compensation the friction coefficient, by theoretical analysis.The general scheme of the test system hardware was designed out, using IPC as the main computer, the magnetic loader and sensor of torque and speed was assembled into experimental table of motor testing , developed EPS three-phase induction motor drive controller with independent intellectual property rights . Signal conditioning circuits was designed by LEM voltage and current sensors and a Butterworth low-pass filter.U.S NI's LabVIEW8.6 was selected as the software development platform, it is the innovative software products launched by United States NI, is currently the most widely used and fastest growing, own the most powerful graphics software development integration environment. Programming to realize real-time multi-channel signal acquisition of induction motor voltage signal, current signal, motor speed signal, the motor output torque signals, real-time signal acquisition and storage, playback and analysis of dynamic processing.It experiments on EPS three-phase induction motor short-circuit test and no load test, calculates the motor parameters. It proves that the test system has higher measurement precision by Compared of calculating parameters and standard parameters. Through the constant ratio of voltage /frequency Experiment, it proves that the test system has higher measurement precision to distortion rate of the current. Compared with references, proved that this test system is more convenient and efficient than the reference.
