The decrease of energy and the pollution of environment have been the two serious problems in the world. Compressed air engine as a zero pollution engine is powered by compressed air, and the research concerned on it is very important to the world's energy future.After introducing the principle, characteristics, domestic and international development conditions of the compressed air engine, the thesis detailedly describes design and initial experiments of the compressed air engine system researched in Hefei University of Technology. The point in the thesis is to set up the project of the mathematical model to the compressed air engine system which takes FLOWMASTER as the software platform. It analyses the comparison of the imitating result and the data acquired from experiments, and refines the model. The thesis takes the refined model as the foundation, carrying on the optimizing analysis to the each main structure parameter of the compressed air engine system. Finally, it puts forward two simple optimum projects, and predicts their effects respectively.
