The automation is not only an important part in thermal plant, but also a necessary guarantee for its economics effectiveness, and that coal transfer control system is also very significant for the automation of thermal plant. For a maximum economizing on energy, a reasonable method in coal transfer can ensure a complete energy conversion during process of generating electricity.Firstly, based on the project of coal transfer system in Heshuyuan Power Plant, this thesis discusses a design method of coal transfer system and computer supervisory system by means of industry control configure software. Then it presents the control scheme according as the whole technological process in this system and its control functional acquirements. Expressly, the papergives a detailed discuss on two facets------coal transfer control mode and coal blending control mode.System is a suit of absolute PLC control system, and the program is programmed using Concept 2.5 software for it. The Intouch software of Wonderware is used to draw supervisory pictures. The supervisory pictures include system pictures, trend pictures, alarm pictures, accessorial pictures, and so on.Next, after analysis on some shortcomings present to coal computation and the course of coal blending, such as some evitable wastes of energy sources, the paper introduces another arithmetic used for on-line measuring in coal transfer system—two segments & pre-collecting data arithmetic. Using a list of instantaneous data collected from electronic belt conveyer scale, the arithmetic can realize accurately coal measuring for coal transfer process; in particular, for every coalbunker.Finally, the paper simulates the design arithmetic with MATLAB and gives the simulation results and analyses for four coalbunkers. The results indicate this method is reasonable and have some availability.
