In this thesis, weak links on firesafety of power supply and distribution systems in high-rise buildings have been found by analyzing the reasons that cause the electrical fire. Power supply and distribution systems have been quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed from firesafety angle and feasible improvement proposals have been put forward.Power consumption of production and life has increased substantially along with development of economy construction. As power source electric has served in various fields of production and life and cause a new kind of disasters-electrical fire, m present prosperous economy situation of cities and towns day by day, the damage caused by electrical fire has grown with each passing day. The proportion of electrical fire has a rise tendency in fire disasters in our country since 1980s. As far as foreign countries, electrical fire accounts for fairly proportion too. Electrical fire disaster has a direct bearing on production of industry and agriculture and brings about direct and indirect damage.In high-rise buildings, all kinds of electrical and electronic systems with wires in length and breadth densely covered are so complex that chance of fire is high. Electrical equipments and wires have been main burning source in high-rise buikhngs. Electric^ fire has many direct reasons including overload, short-circuit, and contact failure.This thesis analyzed design and construction reasons of electric that cause the electrical fire and found out weak links of power supply and distribution systems of high-rise civil buildings. This thesis based on several theories including generating heat and calculation method, short-circuit current and calculation method and load calculation method of cables and wires. From engineering technique angle, thesis analyzed weak links of power supply system, electric power and distribution station, power distribution system and cables and wires of electric in high-rise civil buildings combing with three main reasons which cause the electrical fire including overload, short-circuit and contact failure.
