The high-rise buildings’ secondary water supply systems could consume largeamounts of energy. If their water supply systems are unreasonably designed, it willnot only affect the user’s normal use, but also cause great waste of energy and water.Therefore, this paper studied the optimized design of high-rise building water supplysystems for the purpose of saving energy and water.In this paper, a theoretical analysis about component of high-rise buildings’ energyconsumption was carried out, and the effect of sub-regional water supply system tothe energy conservation was proved. The effect of different kinds of sub-regionalwater supply system to the energy conservation was discussed, and a way todetermine a reasonable partition for water supply systems was proposed.There are many ways of water supply, and each has its own characteristics andscope, how to choose a suitable water-supply way for different buildings is the focusin the design. Based on the learning of the results of previous study, three scales AHPway was used for high-rise buildings’ water supply optimization analysis. It wasapplied to select high-rise residential building water supply ways, and a relativelysuitable water supply way for high-rise residential buildings was obtained.The energy consumption of high-rise building’s water supply systems ismainly pressure pump’s energy consumption. Therefore, the choice of thepressure pumps has an important impact on energy savings of high-risebuilding’s water supply systems. The paper introduced the energy-savingprinciple of the variable frequency pumps, and focused on the analysis on howto properly optimize the configuration of the pumps to improve the operatingefficiency of the pumps.Based on the study of the optimization about the high-rise building watersupply systems, the paper took a high-rise hospital floor and a high-riseresidential building in Hefei as examples, analyzed the law of the water usedin each building and did economic analysis on their suitable water supplysystems, and optimized options for domestic water supply systems of thebuildings were obtained.
