In recent decades, the super high-rise building has always been the benchmark in the building industry; she reflects the highest standard of the modern architecture technology; moreover, the super high-rise building is of the landmark significance in the process of the urban development. The construction of Khalifa Tower not only makes people all over the world remember its another name “Dubai Tower”. Similarly, in China, “Oriental Pearl Tower” makes the whole world know another name of Shanghai two years ago; twenty years later, the numerous scheme modifications of “Shanghai World Financial Center”, another super high-rise building in Shanghai, also became the focus of the comments from Chinese people. The reason why these super high-rise buildings are remembered by people is the identity of the high-rise buildings and the famous brand of the urban markers. As a civil building designer majored in electrical engineering, the perspectives we study the super high-rise buildings are certainly different from the common people. As the urban marker, the identity of the super high-rise buildings will be interpreted by the improvement in the reliability of the power distribution system; but the architectural attribute of the super high-rise building in itself is what we concern most. In the building power distribution system, many factors, such as the reliability, security, rationality and economy aspect, determine the final form of the power distribution system of the buildings. In this paper, the analysis of the power distribution system is made among many super high-rise buildings which have been built and being designed; the classification analysis and contrast is made among the power distributions systems of the super high-rise buildings based on cases; finally, a set of relatively ideal power distribution system scheme for the super high-rise building is proposed to provide some references and data-based theoretical foundation for the power distribution system design of the super high-rise buildings in future.
