This paper was carried out based on the doctor's special research fund"Simulation analysis and control of fuel cell-battery hybrid vehicle". The majorresearch object of this paper was proton exchange membrane fuel cell hybridvehicle, considering the power requirements of vehicle, a comprehensiveexperimental research was proceeded on proton exchange membrane fuel cell;Using a indigenous economy class A sedan as a prototype, a comprehensivesimulation analysis was proceeded on fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle, then thedrivetrain parameters were optimized basing on fuel economy. Two kinds ofcontrol strategy of FCHEV were contrasted and the implement of power followercontrol strategy in ADVISOR was discussed. The major research works andresults of this paper as follows:A 500w low-pressure H2-Air fuel cell was tested on Sun-FTP500D fuel celltest platform, the results indicated that the performance of fuel cells improvedwith the increase of fuel cell's operation temperature, reaction gas'shumidification temperature and reaction gas's pressure; The response of fuelcells was rapid when the load changed quickly; The performance of fuel cells wasstable on full load of fuel cells; Fuel cells could start up quickly. In general, theperformance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells could meet therequirement of vehicle. The typical drive train of FCHEV consisted of several components: fuel cellsystem, motor system, energy storage system and DC/DC converter. There arefour kinds of motors suitable for the drive motor of FCHEV, the operationcharacteristics and advantages & disadvantages of these four motors werediscussed. The performance characteristics and advantages & disadvantages of...
